Any business owner knows that if they are in the digital marketing world, they must keep themselves on their toes. The tech world is ever-changing and requires we all rise to the occasion and strive to always be one step ahead. This article is for those that may have gotten a bit behind. One major platform a lot of people have fallen behind on–or disregarded entirely–is audio. We’re not just saying that because we operate multiple radio stations with a 7-figure listenership. A lot of huge names and their marketing teams are putting in the effort to make podcasts:

For starters, you want to make sure you are taking advantage of email campaigns and email marketing. If you need to build your list of subscribers, we suggest first creating it from scratch. On your website, be sure to include a newsletter opt-in tool that pops up. It should be simple and ask visitors if they want to subscribe. If yes, give them two fields: one for their name and one for their email address. This way you can email them monthly and use a call-to-action to market your products or services to them. Once you have a list of people to market to, you can attach just about anything to your email blasts to grab their attention. Did the light bulb just go off?

Unless you’ve been living under a rock since the Cold War, everyone is on Facebook now. It’s become the digital yellow pages. Several agencies and companies specifically use Facebook not as a time-wasting tool, but as a legitimate search engine. It’s not as powerful as Google, but it still very strong. Why shouldn’t your business be on Facebook? We urge you to separate your personal account from your business account and monitor both. Direct people to your business page who comment about your business on your personal page. You can promote advertisements with specific targeted demographics, which helps you reach your target market.

Marketing Pro Tip: if and when you create your podcast or if you have your own show separate from our platform, make sure it has its own Facebook business page. You can read more on that topic from our friends over at The Balance.

You can’t do much of anything without having a website or at least a landing page. (Learn more by clicking to the left!) You need one of these before you can create that newsletter subscription list we mentioned earlier. Make sure that once you have a website up and running, you make use of the blog that probably comes with it. You want to have an easily searchable website. The more content you have on your website the better your rankings are with Google. Who doesn’t want to be on the first page of a Google search? This is where SEO comes in to play. SEO allows your website to become searchable using specific keywords. The more content, the more keywords, the more searchable.

What if you could properly SEO your website and/or landing page and tie it to your podcasting content? ? ?

For more information on marketing that you can apply to your podcasts, we highly recommend reading the marketing blogs from our parent company, Life Improvement Media Group!

Thank you for your attention!
