I don’t know a single first responder who admit considering themselves a hero. For the most part, they do the unthinkable, the uncommon, because it is a part of the job that they signed up for.

Society has truly confused what it means to be a hero. The truth is that someone who dribbles a ball versus a man or woman who lost/risk their life for someone else is of no comparison.
