New Show #336- Colene From Darkness of Abuse to the Light of Mentoring Others

Interview was done September 14, 2023! I love meeting new people willing to share their “lemon to lemonade” experience! This story is about Colene who as a little girl experienced almost every form of abuse imaginable. She spent her 16th birthday in a group home before starting her sophomore year of high school in foster care. After her second abusive marriage nearly ended her life, she fled to a domestic violence shelter with her 5 kids. Colene’s journey to freedom includes many facets of counseling, safety planning, pattern changing classes, self help books, bible school, mentoring, public speaking, working with victims, abusers and a ton of baby steps. Now she mentors victims coming out of abusive relationships and sexual assault. What message do you get from this interview? ABOUT the LemonAid Stand: Heidi started hosting the LemonAid Stand live radio talk show, over 20 years ago, in 1999!
