Human Trafficking is Modern Day Slavery. There are more slaves today than at any time in history. Human Trafficking is defined as the use of force, fraud, or coercion to obtain some type of labour or commercial sex act.
- The International Labour Organization estimates that there are 20.9 million victims of human trafficking globally.68% of them are trapped in forced labour.
26% of them are children.
55% are women and girls.
- The International Labor Organization estimates that forced labour and human trafficking is a $150 billion industry worldwide.
- Companies lose an estimated $12 Billion a year because employees are using company time and resources for pornography and prostitution.
