Letting Go and Taking Control with Jesi Stracham #HeliumRadio

In this episode, we learn the story of Jesi Stracham. Jesi, like me, is a spinal cord injury survivor. She was paralyzed from the waist down as a result of a motorcycle crash in 2015. She is an advocate for those in wheelchairs. She has a large social media presence where she provides support, instruction, and inspiration to others who live their lives in wheelchairs. She is a workout warrior, nutritionist, and actress. She has not let her injury slow her down and actually has thrived in her new life. She is tough and is a role model for anyone dealing with adversity. Her story is relatable and inspirational to everyone. Key takeaways – The mental aspect of dealing with a paralysis is just as tough as the physical aspect. – No matter your situation, it is important to push yourself to realize your full potential. – Small gains are important. – Mental toughness is important to overcoming adversity. – Life is too short to become frustrated over things outside of your control. You have control over your effort and attitude.   Resources: Wheel With Me Foundation  JesiStracham.com   Buy Rod’s Book “Get Back Up” >>> Buy Here   Learn more about & contact Rod Cate:Rod Cate Website Twitter Facebook LinkedIn   More about Get Back Up: On August 14, 1981, Rod broke his neck while making a tackle that left him paralyzed from the neck down.
