One of today’s most successful and versatile writers, Ridley Pearson continues with the second installment of his John Knox thriller series,  Choke Point: A Risk Agent Novel  (Putnam; $26.95). Set in Amsterdam, John Knox investigates a “knot shop,” where underage immigrant girls are put to work in shocking conditions. Pearson is the author of nearly 30 adult suspense novels, more than 15 children’s adventure novels, and “Peter and the Starcatcher,” co-written with Dave Barry, which was adapted into a Tony-winning Broadway play.
