The Kingston Trio brought music to the small and large stages that told stories that inspired us. The folk tradition was not lost on the teens of the 60s or 70s, Rock and Roll was the major music of the time but The Kingston Trio provided us a chance to sit back and sing with them to the tunes of “Tom Dooley”, “Where Have All the Flowers Gone”, “Green Back Dollar”, “Banua”, and more…
The original trio provided us with so much more as they encouraged Mike Marvin to continue the legacy. (Taken in as part of the Reynolds family as a teenager, Mike learned his music ropes at the foot of Nick Reynolds, his late “adopted father.”)
