What’s up to my silver horned ibexes and starry nosed komodos!
This episode is a long exhale. It’s the welcome mineral bite in a drink of pure spring water off the mountain. It’s the first cool drops of a monsoon rain.
Everything has felt so damn serious lately. That includes my own psyche, and seriousness is no vacation home from which to watch the mountains peak through slow moving cumulus clouds. What I need right now is a crisp alpine peak with views of deep still cold lakes.
So. This episode is a reminder that though we may admittedly know a lot (or think that we do), in actuality we know almost nothing. The vast, vast majority of existence itself is hidden behind a veil of space-time, accelerating away from us at a rate of speed beyond our Newtonian capability to catch up with it.
And though we may never see the invisible expanding balloon engine of existence in its glorious fullness, we can still kick our feet up, listen to crickets, and crane our heads upward towards the white light pin-pricked night.
