Michael Dorman the star of the new Sundance Now series “The Secrets She Keeps

We speak with Michael Dorman who is one of the stars of The Secrets She Keeps an Australian psychological thriller that debuts Thursday, July 16th on Sundance Now.

The show boasts a great cast that features former Downton Abby star Laura Carmichael who plays Agatha Fyfle and Jessica De Gouw who plays Meghan Shaughnes the wife of Dorman’s character sportscaster Jack Shaughnessy.

The story revolves around Meghan, who has two young children and a husband working as a television sportscaster, and Agatha who is single and works at a local mini-supermarket. It is obvious that Agatha envies Meghan, unaware that life inside her beautiful home is more complex than the view from over the fence. Meghan and Jack are experiencing financial and marital troubles – but from Agatha’s perspective, lonely and stocking shelves, things very good.

The pair do have one important thing in common: they are both due to give birth around the same day. If Meghan’s baby was unintended, Agatha’s could not be more welcome; she longs to have a child after losing a previous pregnancy at 32 weeks.

But they become close and that is when things start to get very interesting and where the plot twists will have you going in circles. It is a very binge-worthy six-part show. I can tell you that once you start watching The Secrets She Keeps you will not want to stop.

The show is actually based on Michael Robotham book of the same name, which is inspired by one of the most well known kidnappings of Abbie Humphries. Be sure to check out The Secrets She Keeps starting on Thursday on Sundance Now.
