Navigating Grief with Sisu: the Finnish Art of Grit, Tenacity & Fortitude

This episode is a throwback hodge-podge style ep. You already know I deliver those zany audio tidbits. They took me forever so hopefully you like them, and they include an original poem this week.

In addition, I open up about the grieving process I am currently moving through, and discuss the nature of bereavement, as well as techniques for navigating these icy cold and treacherous waters. This discussion leads me into a primer on Sisu (literally: guts), the Finnish art of grit, tenacity, courage and stubborn determination, against any and all odds. Even when you know you will not succeed, sisu drives you forward cheerfully and with indomitable conviction. And sometimes, the magick and power of sisu makes the impossible possible.
