Simone Azevedo is the Founder of US4RARE and the Senior Vice President of Community Affairs at Patient Discovery™, an organization on a mission to change the way patients dealing with complex conditions are understood, supported, and treated. Simone is responsible for developing and managing the relationships of stakeholders across a variety of rare disease communities by collaborating with patients, industry leaders, healthcare providers, and foundations to address their unmet needs. Simone has over two decades of experience working in the rare disease sector of healthcare as well as extensive global experience working as a senior entrepreneurial executive. She has worked with organizations such as Sanofi Genzyme, helping to champion rare disease initiatives.   Simone joins me today to share her journey from Brazil to building her life and career in the United States.
