We discuss how tattoo artists are often low-key therapists, and we even zoom out and contemplate tattoos as ritual, ceremony, and perhaps even rites of passage in a society that badly undervalues the significance of weaving the sacred into the profane. Jacob also shares some memorable and humorous stories from 12+ years of professional tattooing.
