Our guest this week is Cinzia Lawrence, a seasoned healthcare executive who has served in C-suite roles in large medical practices in the New York City region. We also talk about the importance of mentorship, especially for women trying to break into healthcare management roles.

Throughout her career, Cinzia has helped medical groups with P&L accountability, budgeting, cost center analysis, revenue and expense analysis, roll out of hybrid compensation models, strategic planning, capital equipment analysis, and more. She has also worked with large health systems on the development of physician networks. She holds an MBA from Molloy College and a BS in healthcare administration from St. John’s University. She is also certified in ACMPE, Project Management, and Lean Six Sigma.

The Take-Away: Covid-19 has placed a tremendous financial strain on the entire healthcare system. Particularly hard-hit are independent medical practices and large health networks. Careful planning is critical to getting these vital parts of the healthcare system back on solid financial footing.
