When We Convince Ourselves of a Reality Compared to Being a Medium

This is a bit of an open-ended topic about how the brain can create a reality out of something it doesn’t want to deal with versus being a medium and dealing with a reality that doesn’t mesh with the physical world in a way that makes sense.
