The beautiful city of Tampa, where you will find beautiful weather is sandwiched between the Gulf of Mexico and Tampa, is surrounded by many different museums and attractions. We are a podcasting syndication network and global internet radio station. However, we want to explore our area and share the ins and outs to our listeners who are not local. Maybe our blogs will bring them here on vacation and they can see our back yard firsthand! Without further ado, let’s take a look at these museums …

Busch Gardens

Busch Gardens is a very popular attraction that we have a tendency to forget about. This beautiful theme park is sitting on a total of 335-acres and it is packed with thrill rides, live performances, music, holiday events, and a wide array of animals living in natural habitat settings. As a visitor, you will be able to go on a safari where you will witness giraffes, elephants, zebras and many more animals freely grazing. In our opinion, the most popular safari ride would be the Serengeti Night Safari! Don’t forget the holidays on ice show during the Christmas season or the ever-thrilling Montu, Cheetah Hunt or Sheikra roller coasters. Would you fancy the Falcon’s Fury drop tower?

Tampa Zoo at Lowry Park

The Tampa Zoo at Lowry Park is another amazing attraction that stands out from the crowd. This zoo has over 2,000 animals living in natural habitats as well. This includes animals originally from Asia, Africa, and Australia, along with native Florida habitats. There’s even an aviary, primate area, and a large aquarium that consists of three pools – this is where they treat manatees that are sick or have been injured.

The Florida Aquarium

For a beautiful variety of exhibits, animal habitats, and activities for all ages, the Florida Aquarium is the place you’re going to want to visit. Here, guests will have the opportunity to experience a wide variety of ocean life and fish up close and personally. You will also find a Splash Pad, which is perfect for the kids to cool off, along with shows at the 4-D theater!

Big Cat Rescue

Big Cat Rescue is a peaceful wildlife sanctuary; this is where abandoned and abused big cats can live out their remaining years being cared for. Big Cat Rescue is a non-profit organization that houses over more than 60 animals, including lions, tigers, bobcats, leopards, caracals, lynx, jaguars, and other species.

Conclusion

Regardless of who you are, when you’re in the beautiful area of St. Petersburg, we highly recommend stopping in at these four attractions we listed above. Take your time and see them to the fullest. You may need to spend two full days at Busch Gardens to capture everything it has to offer. The lines can be long, so be sure to arrive early and plan for a long day of walking — it is definitely worth it! You may also be interested in Glazier Children’s Museum, Tampa Theatre, Tampa Bay History Center, Ybor City, and Sunshine Skyway bridge. In all honesty, there is so much you can do in the area, all while enjoying Helium Radio in the car between stops!

Thank you for your attention!
