My name is Mo Greene. I’m a lifelong creative, former musician, career sales professional and first time father. Leading up to the birth of my daughter in July of 2019, I was let go from my Sales Director job in the apparel industry and was desperately trying to make the transition into tech. Upon having little success in changing careers and my daughter on the way I found myself in a bit of a rut to say the least. The night my daughter was born that all changed. From the first moment I looked into her eyes and she grabbed my finger my life changed and everything became clear, THIS is what I was meant to do!

Over the following months I continued to push for a major career change but continued to be unsuccessful – you can’t sell tech products if you’ve never been in tech right? As I started to get down on myself once again, my daughter became my inspiration to find another creative outlet to express myself in the same way I found music in my childhood. Trying to navigate fatherhood, I desperately searched for relatable dad content to use as guidance….. that too was unsuccessful. Then, one day as I sang Al Green’s “Let’s Stay Together” while changing my daughter’s poopy diaper it finally hit me – “why don’t I create that relatable dad content that I’ve been looking for?!”

I pitched the idea to my wife – the single most brutally honest person I know. She LOVED IT and I knew I had something good. If she liked it, it must have legs. Then the questions hit, “what are you gonna call it?”………… Sometime in the next week while doing my daughter’s 2am feed while watching one of my favorite movies “Die Hard with a Vengeance” – I’ll ride for Sam Jackson til the death! – I had my eureka moment. “THAT’S F*CKING IT!!!”And BOOM, DAD HARD WITH A PODCAST was born!

Taking a page out of the book of one of my favorite media personalities Bill Simmons and his podcast segment “Parent Corner,” I wanted to provide dads – specifically first timers like myself – some semblance of guidance through fatherhood as I was going through it. I had no idea what I was doing and I wanted to convey that by sharing my personal experience, letting other dads and parents know that THAT’S OK! But what’s the best way to learn? Talk to others who have been through it. That’s exactly what Dad Hard provides. The pod is guidance through the real experience of dads from all walks of life and from all over the world all with two things in common, we’re figuring it out on the fly and we love our f*cking kids!

I have yet to do something more fulfilling in my life than starting this podcast. Talking to so many dads truly has helped me to be the best dad that I can be and I hope others feel the same. As I say at the intro of every episode, I am just a dad who talks to other dads trying to make the world a better place, 1 dad at a time!

Enjoy and #DadHard
